    Hej igen!

    Here we go – kopplingen till variabler är lite lös men desto tydligare till amatörer.

    Måndagen den 5/12 kl 20.00: Self lensing – making the darkness visible. Webinar med Matthew Middleton. 

    We know of 20 dynamically confirmed black holes in the Milky Way – we predict there should be millions! So where are they and how do we find them? My COBALT project aims to discover these systems in the next generation of optical surveys with the role of citizen scientists (the Black Hole Hunters program) central to this.

    Dr Matthew Middleton is an Associate Professor at the University of Southampton in the UK. His areas of expertise include accretion onto compact objects and is leading the search for hidden compact objects as head of the COBALT project and the Black hole Hunters citizen science initiative.
